growing strong

Becky is feeling Baby Bean moving around pretty regularly now. I have yet to be able to feel it though. When the baby is moving around Becky will say, "Come here! Give me your hand." As soon as I place my hand on her belly the little guy stops moving. It has become a little game between the three of us now. I try to sneak up and catch him moving. I know I will have plenty of time to feel him move.

baby bean's film debut

We finaly figured out how to get the ultrasound on the blog thanks to my friends Steve and Rob. The video is just over 11 minutes long. Baby Bean was very active. Becky drank some orange juice just before the ultrasound and I guess it got him kinda juiced up! You can move the slider in the middle to fast forward or rewind. Look for him waving at about 1:35 and doing yoga at about 10:30. The shaking of the entire image is Becky laughing after the wave and the yoga. Enjoy.

and the winner is....

MR. BEAN!!! Yes, the artist formally known as Baby Bean has now revealed himself to be a Mr. We had the big 20 week ultrasound today. Everything looks great. He even waved at us! Really. I have the video proof. If I can figure out how to add the video to the blog you will be able to see it.

So, we have not decided on a name yet and when we do we have decided to keep it a secret until the big day this summer. Thanks for all of you that have been keeping us in your prayers. God is good. All the time.

the california coast

When I was a senior in high school I took the train from north FL to Seattle, WA. The most beautiful part of the the trip was the central CA coast. At one point I remember looking out the right side of the train and seeing cows grazing on the hill and out the left side seeing surfers in the ocean!

Since living in CA I have been amazed how the farm land is so close to the beach. Our favorite local beach has strawberry fields that run right up to the water. Just south of where we live the coast line gets much more dramatic. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. The weather was awesome. We also stopped and saw some elephant seals relaxin on the beach.
By the way, the seals aren't dead. They're just really lazy.

back in 89

Becky and I drove down to see Mike Disalvo in the Broadway tour of 12 ANGRY MEN in Los Angeles. The play was excellent and it was great to see Mike again. I realized on the way down that Mike and I have been friends since the 7th grade! (1989) We have only lived in the same state for less than four of those years, but have managed to visit each other over the years in London UK, VA, FL, OH, CA, etc.
I thank God for that friendship!

Mike gave us a tour backstage and we took some photos in the rehearsal room.
