our little spelling bee

Cam has really taken off with identifying the alphabet. He calls most of them the sound they make rather than their given name (that will probably serve him better in the long run anyway) His current favorite letter is "E". In the video you can hear him spelling his name looking at his Easter bucket. Since we have shot the video he has began spelling his name without seeing the letters. In fact, last night he was supposed to be going to bed and we heard him spelling over the baby monitor.

road trip

During Thanksgiving we traveled to AL and TN. We enjoyed being off the grid for a while and spending time with family. Thanks to Aunt Holly and her portable DVD player, the time in car was a breeze. Cam watched his Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny and Agent Oso videos.

happy birthday: two years old

Our little man was two years on Friday. We could not be prouder.

After the official party, some family hang around for more fun and picture. Some traveled from as far as TN to be with Cam on the special day.

There's a new fun place on the beach called Wilder's World. It's got a lot of bouncy houses and a toddler area. Cameron loves it. He's like a little Tigger. He loves to bounce.

Yes, Cameron has a new haircut. He gets so sweaty and it's sooooo hot here. Mama did it herself (along with Dada's hair too). I'm giving myself an A for effort, especially since my subject wasn't exactly still for the process.

I gave Jason a teddy bear for Valentine's Day quite a few years ago. We named him Bobo. Cameron has now taken Bobo for his own. He LOVES this bear. Whenever we come home from being out, the first thing his does is find and snuggle his Bobo bear. He even combs Bobo's hair, brushes Bobo's teeth, feeds him snacks and juice, and puts him down on the changing pad to be changed.
