mama

Be still my beating heart! My boy said "mama" tonight. Well, he was imitating us saying mama, but he got it out. It was too sweet. And it was sooo interesting to watch his cute little brain telling his mouth how to make the shapes so that he could say what we were saying. Aren't humans amazing? Especially little cute ones.

bustin out

Cameron is getting so big! He's pretty much outgrown all the 6 month stuff. We had to pull out the bag o' 9 month and 12 month clothes. He's such a moose. We're pretty sure he's at least 18 lbs, and if great-grandma's scale is right, 18.5!

sick again

Poor little Cam. Got sick again. These crazy spots that get all inflamed and the inflammation gives him a fever. Went to the doctor, then had to get his blood drawn again. Apparently he had an infection and a whole lot of inflammation. So they put him on antibiotics again. Unfortunately they put him on the same one as last time, and of course he throws it all up again. Had to switch to a different antibiotic, and he's keeping this one down. No more fever and the spots are fading.
He's been feeling much better this week and we're so glad.

5 months!

Somebody turned 5 months old today. Guess who?

a day at the beach

We took Cameron for his first walk on the beach (well, i say walk...) We didn't get to one in California, busy with that whole "moving" thing, and somehow we just hadn't managed it here til this weekend. He seemed to enjoy it.

solid food

We introduced Cameron to solid food today. What was on the menu? Organic rice cereal with Mommy's milk.

cam's new toy box

Cameron helped us letter his new toy box. He went a little sticker crazy.
